What we might do together is far more interesting, I think, than what any one of us can do alone. But, that's hard to turn into a business plan for many reasons. Chief among them being that one person -- or a relatively small group of people -- will wind up owning that business. And, in that, any sense of equality amongst participants is lost. Really bad for good vibes.

at current, there's no system in place to really make that fair for everyone involved. Now, I don't believe 'fair' is ever going to be achieved to absolute perfection. But, we will get 'fairer', and probably many times over as we move toward fair as a goal. 

"It was an altogether miserable day in June of 2019 when I shepherded 90-plus heretofore pristine copies of this poster -- the only copies in existence -- from the apartment I had called home for the last three-and-a-half years to a garbage can soaking in the rain just outside of it. I wasn't leaving Brooklyn in the best of moods or in particularly relaxed circumstances and, by that point, had been lugging them around for seven-and-a-half years. Armed with a cooler head, I might have decided to keep them. But, in leaving the borough as I was, I seemed to be giving up on any remaining chance I had of victory, and, in that moment, they existed only just as evidence of what I fool I truly was, how delusional my hopes and dreams had, in fact, always been."  

I was thinking about how -- about why I didn't put any of the posters up; I'd spent money to have them printed and the show was definitely happening. I guess even all the way back in late 2012, there was a sense of doom mounting in the world. And, even though I can't really recall what it was specifically we were all reacting to, that sense of doom was not going to be made any better with any suggestion of an apocalypse.
